Argile & Astre is an artisanal ceramic studio based in the south of France, seeking a visual identity that reflects its connection to cosmic elements and celestial inspirations.
The Brief: An authentic and poetic brand that captures the essence of their handmade creations, influenced by the textures of the night and the stars.

Additionally, I contributed to their new collection, “Équinoxe”, which blends cosmic aesthetics with artisanal tradition. Rounded shapes and intentionally imperfect finishes in the illustrations highlight the human touch behind each piece.
The Argile & Astre logo represents the harmony between earthen craftsmanship and celestial beauty. Its graphic composition features semi-circular shapes and curves that evoke a crescent moon resting on bowls, also hinting at lunar phases. The clean typography and minimalist design strike a balance between traditional artistry and modernity, emphasizing the brand’s authentic simplicity.

A tribute to Space and Craftsmanship
The “Équinoxe” collection by Argile & Astre draws inspiration from celestial mysteries and the raw beauty of ceramics. Featuring cups, pots, and bowls, each piece bears subtle imprints reminiscent of lunar craters, adorned with unique, hand-glazed patterns. These creations capture the balance between traditional craftsmanship and nocturnal inspiration, bringing the poetry of the night into everyday life.
Illustrations for the “Équinoxe” Collection
Hand-drawn illustrations were designed to reflect the authenticity and artisanal character of the collection. Inspired by celestial elements and organic shapes, these visuals enhance the brand’s identity and can be adapted for various uses, such as motifs for merchandise, decorative posters, or framed art. They add a poetic and natural touch, perfectly resonating with the Argile & Astre universe.

For the website homepage, I aimed for a minimalist design featuring a ‘Dark mode / Light mode’ toggle to emphasize the studio’s celestial theme. Organic CTAs mimic the moldable quality of clay, while a vase-shaped background element guides the user’s reading flow during scrolling.
