Project Context
I carried out this project with the goal of choosing an existing app on my phone and adding a feature I felt was missing.
After spending a long time comparing all the apps I use regularly—like Merlin (for birdwatching), Le Bon Coin, or Fitbit—I thought to myself:
“Why not my banking app?”
So I analyzed the BoursoBank mobile app to identify what could be improved or introduced as a new feature.

Research & Initial Ideas

I began brainstorming and researching potential features to add to BoursoBank.
• I really appreciate their budget tracking feature (Wicount Budget), although it’s a separate page not fully integrated into the app, and it’s not very accessible or visible.
• I wanted to implement a gamified experience to encourage users to save money in a fun, rewarding way.

Initial Inspirations:• A badge system similar to what Garmin uses
• A loyalty point system like Decathlon, where points can be exchanged for rewards

Introducing: BoursoBoost
After the research and ideation phase, I created BoursoBoost, a gamified savings feature that turns saving money into a motivating and engaging experience.
This project was designed in French, so most of the interface screenshots and content are displayed in French.

How it works:
• Users earn points and badges when they reach their financial goals.
• Points can be redeemed for exclusive rewards.
• The system brings a game-like experience to personal finance, making money management more enjoyable.

Design & Experience:
• I kept BoursoBank’s existing visual identity, including:
• Their brand colors
• 3D illustrations commonly used in their marketing

• Inspired by video games, I introduced:
- User levels and experience points (XP)
- Custom badges linked to savings challenges (e.g., saving for a trip)

For example: A badge for saving toward a travel goal would connect directly to BoursoBank’s existing savings objectives feature, where users set a target amount.
Badges become central to earning points and XP, encouraging users to take action and stay motivated.

Conclusion & Considerations
BoursoBoost illustrates how gamification can enhance user engagement and motivation in financial services. By combining savings goals with rewards, challenges, and progress tracking, this feature brings a more playful and personalized approach to managing money.
However, if this concept were to be developed, it would be essential to validate the reliability and legal feasibility of certain mechanics related to savings.
For instance:
• The loyalty system and bonus interest boosters—such as earning higher interest over a 3-month period—may raise compliance and regulatory challenges in the banking and financial sector.
These elements would require in-depth testing, legal validation, and collaboration with financial experts before any implementation.
Thank you for taking the time to explore this project.
